Jerod has focused on landlord/tenant law in San Francisco and all of the surrounding Bay Area Counties. Jerod is well-versed in landlord/tenant law and evictions, especially in San Francisco with its highly restrictive and technical Rent Ordinance. He also counsels and represents residential and commercial property owners on all aspects of real estate problems and issues. He has extensive experience with unlawful detainers, owner move-in and Ellis Act evictions, tenant buyouts, master tenant/subtenant issues, “in-law” units, rent increases, subletting, short-term rentals, enforcement of lease covenants/obligations, and habitability/retaliation/housing discrimination claims. Jerod regularly appears at the San Francisco Rent Board and at other local Rent Boards. He also handles commercial and residential leasing issues.
Jerod works directly with clients to analyze their legal problems and tailor strategies to efficiently and economically achieve their goals. Jerod enjoys working with people and helping them resolve their difficulties. He understands that each client and legal problem is unique and requires an attorney who can listen to the client, review the evidence, and research the law in order to best serve the client’s interests.
